辰巳 ヨシヒロ

R.I.P. Yoshihiro Tatsumi (辰巳 ヨシヒロ), a singular voice in sequential art.

Tatsumi visited TCAF in 2009 after the publication of his brilliant gekiga book A Drifting Life (劇画漂流), an autobiographical account of his experices in the post-war working in the manga industry. Ryan Sands made thorough documentation of the trip, and Deb Aoki has a thoughtful interview with Tatsumi from that visit to Toronto.

You can also watch the 2011 film Tatsumi on Hulu, as I intend to tonight.
