robkirbycomics:

My article looking at the queer comics of 2014 (and ahead to 2015) - in books & zines from major publishers, micro-presses and self-publishers - is up on The Comics Journal today.

Read Rob Kirby’s great article for TCJ rounding up 2014’s avalanche of queer comics! Kirby highlights some of my own favorite comics of the year, including 100 Crushes by Elisha Lim, Megahex by Simon Hanselmann, The Collected Hungry Bottom Comics by Eric Kostiuk Williams, Cruising Diaries by Brontez Purnell and Janelle Hessig, Snackies by Nicholas Sumida, Fearful Hunter by Jon Macy, Hazel Newlevant's If This Be Sin, Tony Breed's Everyone is Someone’s Fetish, and Diane Obomsawin’s On Loving Women. And there are plenty of more comics on the list I am eager to check out!

Here’s a little map I made showing where to find queer cartoonists on TCAF’s second floor!  I’m sure there are people I missed, so feel free to add yourself in!

Tony Breed 204

Rachel Dukes 245

Jess Fink 228-230

Melanie Gillman 240

Kori Handwerker 232

Kate Leth 255-261

Sfé Monster 231

Hazel Newlevant 216

L Nichols 231

Sasha Steinberg 238

Now, go forth and support queer cartoonists!

Handy map for TCAF, where you’ll find me next weekend.

In addition, Jeremy Sorese will be there at table 204 with me, and Chip Kidd and Graham Kolbeins (MASSIVE) will be at table 101 downstairs.

So many awesome people are tabling at TCAF this year— I can’t wait!
