Kagura Dance (神楽舞), 2009
Collection of manga by Seizoh Ebisubashi

Ebisubashi’s 5th standalone book, Kagura Dance, is being re-released in a new edition by Furukawa Shobou after being out of print for several years. The mangaka notes that it’s interesting looking back on the drawing style of something he created seven years ago, when he was still in his 30s. The first five episodes of Kagura Dance were drawn in Photoshop, before Ebisubashi switched over to the Comic Studio software he still uses today.

The new edition of Kagura Dance is available now on G-Project and will debut in Japanese bookstores on February 27th!

Kaz has been working hard on this Santa Claus-themed cover. He writes on his blog: “All day long, I drew it, erased it, drew it again, erased it again. I was doing that endlessly.” He used Manga Studio for layout and line clean-up, and Clip Studio Paint for the coloring. “For the actual drafting and inking, I prefer the analogue way.”
